Mumbai: The Indian Folk and Classical AWARENESS (IIFCA) is set to
host an awards ceremony to honor outstanding Indian folk and classical
artists. IFCA Director, Amin Chandrakar, highlighted the organization's
long-standing commitment to promoting Hindustani classical and folk
music through various events across India and on international
platforms.
“For many years, IIFCA has been dedicated to promoting Hindustani
classical and folk music by organizing events at various locations.
IIFCA has also expanded its efforts to international levels,” said AMIN
CHANDRAKAR. “While India hosts numerous types of awards, those
recognizing classical and folk music have been comparatively few. This
initiative is aimed at raising awareness and appreciation for classical and
folk music across the country.”
The prestigious event will take place in Mumbai, with several
Bollywood dignitaries expected to participate, adding glamour to the
evening dedicated to the rich cultural heritage of Indian music.
